Try These SEO Hacks for Immediate Results

Posted by BUILDNICHELINKS 0

Unless you know someone who has amazing analytical skills combined with a knack for writing stellar content, SEO can be frustrating because seeing the results is a slow process. Let’s face it, it takes a long time to put up a good website, and even longer to begin to gain traction with your search engine efforts.  Fortunately, there are shortcuts, and if you try at least two of them, you’ll see results – fast.

Make your landing page a priority

Your landing page is the first place people go to find out more about your company.  Besides being well written, keyword rich, and free of clutter and broken links, it should, above all, be fast. Test your site on different browsers to see how quickly, or not, it loads.  Statistics have shown that page fails to load within 5 seconds, 74 percent of people will leave.

Don’t fall victim to the five second rule.  Take a good look at your landing page and see what has the potential to cause this lag – large images, embedded videos, broken links, and too much code like Javascript are all culprits – be merciless in your clean up. After you’ve cleaned up all the necessary clutter, step back and take a look.  Make sure the navigation is clear, the design is clean, and your page loads in less time than it takes you to blink.  Congratulations! Now your text can be easily seen – and read! – by customers and search engines alike.

Don’t forget the details

When writing SEO rich content for a website, it’s important to have all the keywords, but more important to make sure that they don’t get overlooked by the search engines.  You have to go beyond the text on the page, and make sure you fill out the text behind the scenes; the name of the piece, the meta – description, and the alt tag. This is what the search engines are looking for, and will allow the content to rank for different keywords and terms.

Don’t be afraid to get personal

Google is the search engine everyone wants to optimize for, so it’s a good idea to take advantage of a geographical location specific listing called Google My Business. Go online to sign up, Google will send you a personal code, go online to the address given and enter this code and now you’re in!  It’s just another layer of Google recognizing you’re business, and by default, your nicely SEO’d website.

Take it slow

Now that you’ve taken care of the fast stuff, the real work begins!  One of the best ways to get your SEO really robust is through links, and you want to make sure these links have meat behind them. This is where you identify a small group of companies with whom you want to build lasting relationships, and approach them directly.  Find the real email address, or phone number of the person you want to contact and build a rapport.  Your shared links are going to be much more robust when you build this personal rapport, because you’re both working towards a common goal.

Don’t be afraid of Google Adwords

The Google Adwords Keyword Planner is one of the best, and most often overlooked, tool that Google AdWords has to offer. Besides giving you great tips on how to write your content to be more SEO friendly, it’s also a great tool for finding a list of blogs and news outlets who are already talking about your niche. Here’s how it works:

You want to find bloggers and websites whose long-tail keywords best fit yours, and talk about the same things you do. To find these “long tail” bloggers, do the following:

  • Plug your main keywords into the Keyword Planner
  • Filter for low search volume keywords
  • Export the list

And, that’s it. Now you know what websites/bloggers best fit the audience you’re trying to reach.

These five tips seem really easy; because they are. They’re also the quickest way to boost your SEO presence, so don’t wait, get started on these tips today for better SEO traffic than you’ve ever experienced.
